Thrown Off Pogo
(For A Friend)

My friend was thrown off Pogo,
because she said God Bless.
Someone had prayed to satan,
her Lord did she confess.

Did they take the other off,
or was she the only one.
It seems that people in this day,
only want to have big fun.

They don't see that their tomorrow,
might happen very quick.
What happens to their soul then,
If satan is their pick.

My friends are there on Pogo,
I like the games I guess.
But I wouldn't be here very long,
if I could not say God Bless.

Her final resting place with God,
make her life here seem small.
All her pain, trials and sorrows,
from her body then will fall.

Each Person Is Differant

Each one of us is differant,
each person is unique.
The part of us that really matters,
are the things we seek.

We can make someone happy,
or we can drag them down.
We can make them smile,
or we can make them frown.

If we criticize a child too much,
and never say, "well done",
They will think they are no good,
it takes away their fun.

They must have encouragement,
tell them that they can.
Give them lots of love and hugs,
boost their childish span.

Never, never run them down,
always build them up.
They thrive on praise and love,
blame is a bitter cup.

Who Lowered Everything?

Someone must have cut the legs,
off every single chair.
Don't dare sit down, must get back up,
I stand there in despair.

The bathrub must have sunk a lot,
much lower than before.
I tug and pull, trying to get out,
it's really quite a chore.

I'd better not get down on the floor,
if something heavy isn't near.
I might be there till help arrives,
to help me up, I fear.

And sports cars, just forget it,
fall in and climb back out.
They were made for youngsters,
who can still get about.

But, the chairs are higher if I try,
to step up, onto them.
What happened to my furniture,
it used to fit so trim.

So I'm looking for a skyhook,
I'm searching everywhere.
My body's getting very tired,
and it really isn't fair.

Runaway Wheelchair

Grandma couldn't walk, used a chair,
that her husband faithfully pushed.
It was very hard, going down ramps,
but, at least he wasn't rushed.
They said, "back down the ramp,
so you won't dump her out".
So he turned and started backing,
lost his footing and fell with a shout.

We heard grandma screaming,
as the chair hit her "Old Man".
Ran over him, on her way down,
and faster that chair now ran.
Grandma gained speed, fairly flew,
straight for a big glass door.
Down the ramp her daughter sped,
outran it, now it ran no more.

She caught her Mom, just in time,
went back to check on Dad.
He hobbled away, we heard him say,
"Oh what a bad time we had".
Mom said, "This chair needs a brake,
perhaps I could stop it then".
"I just might never be the same,
my, what a day it's been".

Slow Me Down Lord

Slow me down Lord, I keep running way too fast,
So many things undone, my thoughts are racing too.
Time is going faster still, I'm getting more behind.
How will I ever catch up? I have no earthly clue.

Slow me down Lord, before I self-destruct,
I'm needed by so many, cloning might be nice.
If there were two of me, maybe less demand.
Would it really work, or would we do it twice?

Slow me down Lord, some of this must wait,
Days are getting shorter, is that a good sign?
When it turns dark earlier, perhaps less demand,
Give me just a little time, so I can just recline.

Slow me down Lord, old age is coming fast,
I am getting older, and slower I might add,
Can't run like I used to do and limp a little bit,
If I try to go fast, might fall, that would be bad.

Slow me down Lord, give me more common sense,
Help me divide my time more wisely, with less fret.
Show me what's important, what we can do without,
Before I am in trouble, remembering with regret.
God's Office Never Closes

God's office never closes,
He is open day and night.
No matter when you need Him,
If you are sick or have a plight.

God has no need for sleep,
Only humans must have rest.
Hears many prayers together,
Our Lord is never stressed.

Don't ask for fame or fortune,
God has to sort prayers out.
Sometimes He must say no,
Then, we should not pout.

So pray in faith to our Savior,
Don't ask for selfish things.
Don't forget to pray for others,
Thank Him for what He brings.

God hears earnest supplications,
He knows what is best for all.
So pray any time you need to,
God will hear your every call.
Thank You Lord For Thunder

Thank you Lord for thunder,
it warns us about storms.
Thank you Lord for lightening,
because it brings the rain.

Thank you Lord for wind,
it brings the clouds to us.
Thank you Lord for daylight,
we can see what the rain did.

Thank you Lord for pretty birds,
they sing so cheerfully.
Thank you Lord for animals,
for food and for our pets.

Thank you Lord for green grass,
so the animals can eat.
Thank you Lord for the trees,
so birds can build their nests.

Thank you Lord for homes,
to protect us from the storm.
Thank you Lord for children,
they give us love and joy.
Don't Forget To Say
by

Don't forget to say, "I love you",
to everyone you care about.
It's such an easy thing to say,
gives a boost to those in doubt.

If something ever harmed you,
you would be glad you did.
Because your friends remember,
the nice things that you said.

You help them overcome the bad,
If those four words you say.
The knowledge that you love them,
can help make their whole day,

So, don't forget, "I love you" said,
to friends every time you meet.
Will make you feel much better,
help both overcome defeat.
