Life Starts As A Blank Sheet

Life starts as a blank sheet of paper.
Nothing is written there.
The story progresses as we age,
Though at times seems unfair.

We can either make our life a mess,
Or use talents God gave us.
What we do with life, is our choice,
Because God left it thus.

Part of the time we need courage,
God will help us with this.
Some things seem beyond endurance,
He helps, will never miss.

He will provide all that we need,
And friends to help us too.
God is always there, he waits,
Just pray, it's up to you.

It's a matter of organization,
And putting priorities right.
God leads, we just need to follow,
Two can't lead, would only fight.
Life Is A Sermon

Our life is always a sermon,
Either good or bad.
It is a mirrored reflection,
Of the life we've had.

Did you do the best you could,
Or did you sometimes fail?
Did you help somebody else,
Or throw a block onto their trail?

Did you use talents God gave you,
As he meant you to do?
Or did you waste those you had,
Till He took them away from you?

How about all those neighbors,
Were you kind to them?
Or did you make a rude reply,
And go on with your whim?

Were you a good example,
For your precious Lord?
Or did you take His name in vain,
Cause others much discord?

Each day you are a sermon,
To others who pass by.
Make your sermon reflect God,
Then meet Him in the sky.

His Dog Waited Obediently

When the waters got very deep,
a rescue boat came near.
Only people could they take,
not their pets so dear.

"Stay there girl, you cannot go,
I will come back for you".
"We cannot take our pets along".
Tears from his eyes fell too.

Food and water left untouched,
she missed her master so.
She stayed where he had left her,
he would come back you know.

She waited there for many days,
and could not understand.
Why had he left her there alone,
but followed his command.

Then, she heard her master call,
"I have come back for you".
"You stayed right where I left you,
just like I knew you'd do".

Man and dog were overjoyed,
to have each other back.
Loyal friends were still together,
although a home they lack.
